The scheme is mainly,
but not exclusively for the elderly. It
is for anyone feeling in need of help.
Local people volunteer their services,
from befriending to transport and DIY.
The scheme would provide a resource, not
only of helpers, but linking to other organisations
and reliable tradesmen.
Coordinated by the
Beds Rural Communities Charity, there
are 25 villages on board.
Could such a scheme
work in Cranfield?
