FORTNIGHTLY BIN COLLECTIONS

Are you happy with the Mid Beds rubbish collection service?

Are we getting our money's worth from our Council Tax with fortnightly collections? Tell me about it - I feel another campaign coming on!

Cranfield Village Neighbour Care Scheme

The scheme is mainly, but not exclusively for the elderly. It is for anyone feeling in need of help. Local people volunteer their services, from befriending to transport and DIY. The scheme would provide a resource, not only of helpers, but linking to other organisations and reliable tradesmen.

Coordinated by the Beds Rural Communities Charity, there are 25 villages on board.

Could such a scheme work in Cranfield?

STOP PRESS!

An informal get together, for anyone who would like to know more, has been arranged for Thursday 26th June, 7.45pm for 8pm at The Cross Keys. A free drink and nibbles will be provided. Justine Hunt from Beds Rural Communities Charity will explain how the scheme works and answer any questions.
